Teacher Hypocrisy

So we're always told at Pro-Ds that we shouldn't be teaching kids to use the tools of yesterday and instead teach them to use the tools of the future. Yet at all the schools I've been to, most teachers and admin do everything they can to get rid of the tools the students will be using once they are out there.
The vast majority of my technical work is done on calc.exe, lol
Haha, but your boss won’t make you put it away and use a slate would he? (or maybe he is one of those bosses? lol)
Students need to learn how to use these technologies as it’s going to be a big part of their future.
Haha nah, they’re pretty laissez-faire
